Working
on her masters degree in information systems and a
thesis that requires her programming skills to interface
a robotics control system, it's no wonder that Rebeca
Lewis sings of inventions gone awry. The debut cd,
advent 619, from her solo project, recovery
council,
features a unique blend of analog and digital sounds in
melancholy stories about the dichotomy of human and
machine. A classically trained pianist, Lewis
creates a ethereal landscape, writing and arranging
every song, and playing all instruments from guitar to
various circuit-bent electronic toys. advent 619
will be available on store shelves fall 2003.
