camping is not necessarily music. It is more accurately described as explorations in sound. With a little help from his friends, Byron Qualls (brown25) has crafted this bizarre Kraftwerk-meets-Zappa-Lumpy-Gravy-esque side project with various forms of recorded strangeness. Sub-Novice Dog Obedience broke in 2002
wrapped in an unorthodox jewel case protruding with
wires, and weighed down with even more unorthodox sound
adventures inside. This fall, a second pressing is being made of that album and their 1995 psuedo-industrial four-track album, Mommy Hurt Baby will be reissued and released in the coming months as well.
